Manchester United reached the final of the FA Cup after beating Everton 2-1 with practically the final kick of a pulsating game at Wembley.
United led thanks to Marouane Fellaini’s goal but both sides had enough chances to make the score more than just 1-0 at the break, Romelu Lukaku squandering two great opportunities.
If the first half was lively, the second was pulsating. Anthony Taylor looked to have made a mistake in awarding Everton a penalty but David de Gea excellently saved Lukaku’s resultant spot kick.
United were then unfortunate not to have a penalty themselves when Phil Jagielka saved Fellaini’s close range effort with his arm. And the match looked to be heading to extra-time after Chris Smalling deflected substitute Gerard Deulofeu’s cross into his own net.

But the excellent Martial had other ideas, latching onto Ander Herrara’s pass to put United into their first final since 2007 where they will meet either Watford or Crystal Palace.
