Hearts PRO Kwame Opare has denied reports that team physiotherapist Baffour Agyei, has withdrawn his services with the club due to unpaid salaries.
The team physio was not part of the team that travelled Obuasi for their 2-1 win over Ashantigold sparking speculations he has suspended his services.
However, the PRO has dismissed such reports stating that the physio had to attend to other injured players.
“Not that he has suspended his services,” he told Joy Sports.
“We have some players on the injury list that don’t appear at the training ground.”
“He has to be consistently be with them, go to the hospital together.”
“He has a superior officer, who is Dr. Quartey, he works at a clinic. At any point in time that the doctor needs him, he has to be with there with the players.”
Among other factors rumored was the fact that the physio had not seen to recovery of star man Samudeen Ibrahim.
Opare Addo once again denied the report stating Baffour Agyei had done his professional best up till this moment.
“I have not heard anybody blame him that he caused Samudeen’s injury. He did not step on Samudeen’s leg.”
“What he has to do is to ensure is to take care of Samudeen’s injury professionally well which he has done.”
It will be interesting to see whether Baffour Agyei will be on the bench when Hearts play Kotoko in the Super 2 clash on May 2.
