An 18 year-old school drop-out who allegedly concealed two wrappers of dried leaves in two balls of banku and palm nut soup and attempted to hand it over to a remand prisoner at the Osu Police Station has been remanded by the Osu .
Derrick Duodu was nabbed because of the vigilance of the Police at the counter.
Duodu whose plea was not taken is being held for possessing narcotic drugs without authority.
He is to reappear on June 11.
The case of prosecution is that at about 0900 hours on April 29, Duodu reported at the Police station to hand over two balls of banku and palm nut soup to Victor Addo, a remand prisoner who was also being on the same offence.
The Police intercepted the food and two wrappers of dried leaves suspected to be drugs were found concealed in the banku.
When the Police questioned Duodu, he said was passing by when someone he could not identify asked him to send the food to Addo, who is now a convict.Source: GNA
