South African Reggae legend, Lucky Dube is expected to perform live and direct in Ghana on July 1, 2007.
Phelps Ghana, the promoters said that Lucky is eager to share his musical vibes with Ghana this year. The HIV/AIDS sensitisation concert is being organised under the auspices of the South African High Commission.
Ghana is one of Lucky Dube’s great constituencies and Ghanaians will as usual troop to the Trade fair Centre in La to witness this great concert.
The Reggae star, sources say, shall do a three-hour non-stop performance. This surely means his Ghanaian fans better start training to gather stamina for the concert. The concert couldn’t have come at a more appropriate time as Ghana celebrates 50 years of independence.
As a prolific force in the South Africa music industry for over 20 years, Lucky’s music has touched millions, primarily through his over 20-recorded albums in Zulu, English and Afrikaans, many of which have been record breakers with phenomenal sales from around the globe.
Lucky Dube is certainly a frontline artist in the Reggae genre. His creativity and inventiveness keep growing from strength to strength wherever he goes.
This isn’t the first time Lucky Dube is coming to Ghana for a show but this promises to be a concert of concerts as Ghanaians gird up their loins for a spectacular July.
