Majority leader in Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin says President John Dramani has always taken his criticism with "extreme humility".
Mr Bagbin said he was one of the first people in the country who was bold enough to ask President Mahama to review his ways of doing things in order for the country to move in the right direction.
According to him, the President never had any qualms about that. He said Ghanaians will vote to retain the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in power during the 2016 polls based on the president's humility, selflessness and temperament.
He made the statement at the inauguration of the youth working committee of the party in the Nadowli- Kaleo constituency, Monday.
"I was among the first voices to raise alarm bells about the need for his excellency to review some things and move in the right direction. He made sure that things were properly put in place," Mr Bagbin said.
He said in doing that he "saw the humility in the gentleman" who did not in any way show that he has the whole power of the nation at his disposal.
The Majority leader said the president is Godfearing, has a good character and has the capacity to lead the country having gathered rich political experience from being a member of parliament (MP), Deputy minister, Minister, Vice-president and now President.
"What other experience do you need to be the president of a nation? It is not a matter of going somewhere and assisting people to pound fufu and eat," Mr Bagbin said, adding it is the everyday relationship with the ordinary people which makes them identify with you.
Alban Bagbin who is also the Member of Parliament for the Nadowli-Kaleo constituency assured members of the youth working committee of his constant support, adding he will do everything to empower them to win more votes than ever before in the constituency.
"We don't want any party or any candidate to ever dream of contesting us in the sense of having even a scintilla of hope of beating us in any election. We want to make it crystally clear to all that this is a constituency that is unbeatable and so those who are in the fantasy world, in dreamland chasing mirages should advise themselves.
