Techiman City coach Yusuf Abubakar has admitted leaving post for fear of losing his life after he was attacked by fans of the club.
The former Heart of Lions boss has been absent from the club since their matchday 15 defeat against Kotoko as well as their outstanding tie against Medeama.
Abubakar was attacked by home fans following their 1-1 draw with Ashantigold and matchday 14 and the coach has admitted to not reporting to training ever since.
“I have received a letter that I should answer why I have not been coming to training and I am going to respond to that,” he told Asempa Sports.
“I’ll state my reasons in my response because I can’t say everything here,” he said.
“I am not a coach who loves complaining about my clubs but security is very important. I am not from Techiman so if supporters come threatening my life, I must not take that as a joke,” he added.
Techiman City failed to secure a victory in their last three games.
