The National Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party will from Wednesday 22nd June to Friday 24th June, hold the first ever ‘Freedom Forum’ on the African continent in Accra.
The ‘Freedom Forum’ is an annual flagship program of the International Young Democrat Union (I.Y.D.U) where issues relating to youth development and the sustenance and advancement of democracy are dispassionately discussed.
The IYDU is a global alliance of centre-right political youth organisations united by a common desire for greater freedom and less government. The IYDU has grown from 14 members to 127, from more than 81 different nations.
This year’s ‘Freedom Forum’, which will be under the theme ‘The Right Leadership for the New Africa’, will include series of briefings and discussions from high profile speakers about the best policy approaches on issues of youth development and the advancement of our democracy.
Speakers include;
(i) H.E. John Agyekum Kufuor, Former President of the Republic of Ghana
(ii) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo – Addo, NPP Presidential Candidate
(iii) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, NPP vice Presidential Candidate
(iv) Hon. Dominic Nitiwul, M.P for Bimbila and Deputy Minority Leader
(v) Hon Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, M.P. for Ablekuma West
(vi) Mr. Sydney Casely Hayford, a financial analyst and founding member of Occupy Ghana and a host of other renowned personalities.
