Asante Kotoko coach, Michael Osei, is elated after his side’s penalty triumph over Hearts of Oak in the 2016 edition of the President’s Cup.
Kotoko beat the Phobians on penalties after a goalless draw to add to the FA Cup and G6 tournament won by Osei while at the helm of the affairs of the club.
The former player, who also won the President’s Cup in his playing days at the club was happy with the victory.
“It means a lot to me, because as an upcoming coach, to win this trophy against a big club is a great achievement so I am very happy,” he told reporters after the game.
The Porcupine Warriors have turned their attention to the league where they lie second, one point behind leaders Wa All Stars.
For Osei, they can add the league trophy to their trophy collection through hard work.
“As for the league trophy, it is my wish that we win it. All we need is to work very hard and we make sure we play every game with discipline and make sure at the end of the season, we get a good position.”
Kotoko travel to Tema to play Inter Allies in a matchday 18 fixture at the Tema Stadium.
