General manager of Asante Kotoko, Opoku Nti, has played glowing tributes to the fans of Asante Kotoko for sticking behind the team during its torrid start to the season.
The Porcupine Warriors picked up a single win in six matches forcing the club to part ways with its coach David Duncan.
Despite this, the team remained united and have fought through these adversities to climb up the table leaving them a point behind the current league leaders Wa All Stars.
For Nti, the fans deserve praise for their patience.
“From where we came from and looking at how we are performing now, I think our opponents are now afraid of us more than we do,” Nti said.
“I think the supporters of Kotoko are fantastic. We thank them for their support because when the club were occupying the 16th position on the league table, they rallied behind the club and if we are today occupying the 2nd position, I will give a huge thanks to the supporters of the club and I will say God bless them.”
“I will encourage them to continue support us and I believe by the end of the season we will win the league.”
Kotoko will play Bechem United in a matchday 19 Ghana Premier league tie at the Baba Yara Stadium.
