After leading his side to their first point in the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup, Young African coach Hans van der Pluijm is setting sights on beating Ghanaian side Medeama in the return leg in a week’s time.
The Tanzanians had lost their first two matches to TP Mazembe and MO Bejaia but put up a spirited display against the Ghanaian FA Cup holders.
This has sparked renewed belief for the Dutch trainer ahead of the next meeting.
“I think generally, we played well and created a lot more chances, which I believe we should have converted, but we have another chance to make amends.”
“I believe we can beat Medeama away from home because we have performed even better away from home than we have done at home, so I am optimistic we will perform well and give ourselves a good shot for the next stage”, he added.
The game is scheduled for next week Tuesday at the Essipong Stadium.
