Operations Manager of Asante Kotoko, George Kennedy, has hinted interim head coach of the club, Michael Osei might need the assistance of a technical director.
The former player of the club has come under severe criticism in recent weeks following a slump in form of the Porcupine Warriors.
The pressure mounted after Bechem United’s coach Manual Zacharias openly criticized the competence of the technical team of the club.
Few days later, Kotoko were trounced 4-1 in Cape Coast and in the Super Clash against Kotoko, his choice of substitutions were questioned.
This has made the hierarchy of the club concerned, and Kennedy has openly confirmed the club is open to the idea of hiring a technical director.
“We will discuss that one during our technical meeting on Monday, if we have to bring in a technical director to help him we will do that,” he said
“We asked Osei to act because we didn’t want to incur any cost when we asked Duncan, the substantive coach to step aside but for now
I think we have to help him with a technical director till the end of the season and then decide on what to do next.”
