Former player and coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Coach Malik Jabir is likely to be named as the Technical Director for Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
This follows comments from acting General Manager, Opoku Nti, who hinted coach Michael Osei might need the assistance of a technical director.
“We will discuss the decision during our technical meeting, if we have to bring in a technical director to help him we will do that,” he said.
The Porcupines have played five matches in the second round with 1 win, losing 1 and three ending in a draw and this slump has led to calls for the interim coach to be assisted and the name making rounds in the media is Malik Jabir.
Malik Jabir, who was made the head coach of Ghana's U 23 side in October 2011, is likely to take that position since the managers of the club want a former player to take that Job.
Jabir has rich coaching experience on the continent having coached clubs in neighboring West African countries.
The ex-international was on the bench when Kotoko won their last African title in 1983.
Jabir was appointed technical adviser at Nigerian Premier League side Kano Pillars in August 2008.
