President John Dramani Mahama has been trending on social media for wearing an army uniform and boots.
He wore the uniform for the commissioning of the Naval Headquarters Complex at Burma Camp in Accra on Thursday. The images of him in the uniform has since been circulating on social media.
President Mahama applauded the Navy for safeguarding Ghana’s oil and gas fields and inspected a guard of honour in his army uniform, an action which has caught the attention of many.

Joy News’ Jennifer Akuamoah reported that the President also commended the Navy for curbing pair trawling and for protecting the environment.
He urged all stakeholders to continue to help the navy in protecting the country’s coastline which he described as the safest in West Africa.
