The Fire Arm Unit of the Tema Police command has issued a stern warning to unlicensed fire arm users.Checks by the Unit reveal that more people are using unauthorised fire arms.There are reports of many permit holders failing to renew their licenses during the third and fourth quarter of last year.The police have cautioned users of fire arms to acquire legal documents or risk prosecution.The Public Relations Officer of Tema Police, Inspector Olivia Turkson said gun licenses have to be renewed yearly and that failure to do that is a criminal offence.She said people who have acquired arms legally but are using for illegal purposes to surrender the weapons to the police or face the full rigours of the law.Source: Joy News/Ghana
