The warlord of Anlo, Torgbi Abesi Awusu II has been tasked to set up an arbitration committee to look into the impasse over the process leading to the installation of Patrick Agboba as the 16th Awormefia of Anlo.
The mandate which was given by the three royal Adzorvia clans of Anlo, responsible for the selection of Awormefia, is contained in a memorandum of understanding signed by some heads of the Adzorvia clan after a marathon meeting at Anloga in the Volta region.
The meeting was to address problems associated with the Anlo chieftaincy dispute.
Joy News’ Agbeko Ben Coffie reports that plans are far advanced for the outdooring of Torgbui Sri II on Monday, February 21, 20112.
Some members of the Adzorvia clan have however criticized the move, questioning its propriety.
A key member of the Adzorvia clan, Albert Sadika said any attempt to go ahead with the outdooring will undermine the traditional norms and practices of the royal family.
