The Ghana Standards Board is warning the public against what it suspects to be sub-standard cement products on the market.
According to the GSB, a product identified as Global Premium cement is not suitable for use because preliminary tests show it is of sub-standard quality.
Kofi Amponsah Bediako, Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Standards Board told Joy News the Board was investigating how the product got onto the market.
He suspected that importers of the cement might have used Ghana’s eastern corridor to smuggle the product into the country.
