Liberian refugees at the Buduburam Camp are appealing to a high-level Liberian delegation currently in the country, to facilitate the release of some of their colleagues arrested in disturbances that occured at the camp last week. One woman died from gun-shot wounds whilst another was severely injured. Forty-seven people were also arrested in the violence that erupted as police tried to stop the induction of new leaders at the camp. The high-level Liberian delegation is in the country to obtain a first-hand account of the incident from its nationals and Ghanaian officials. The delegation includes student representatives, officials of the Ministries of Justice, Information, Internal Affairs, and civil society.
