Coach Yusif Basigi is unhappy the Black Queens failed to pick maximum points against rivals Nigeria in their second group match of the ongoing African Women’s Championship.
The experience manager revealed his side wanted to win against Nigeria but accept the stalemate in good faith.
Nigeria opened the scoring through danger woman Asisat Oshoala but Ghana equalized from the spot three minutes before half time through captain Elizabeth Addo.
''We are not happy to draw, but it is good to draw when the need arises. Ghana versus Nigeria can go either way. If for any reason we draw, we have to take it in good faith,'' Basigi said in a post match conference.
''Against Mali, Nigeria opened up but against us it was very close. The competition is still on. We have to approach the Mali with all the seriousness to win and qualify convincingly.''
Ghana, four points and second in Group B, will seal qualification to the semis with win over Mali who have three points after defeating Kenya on Wednesday.
