Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday trekked down from the Ashanti Region to make mincemeat of archrivals Accra Hearts of Oak, thrashing the Phobians by two goals to nil at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium.
Hearts of Oak, who were seeking a double over Kumasi Asante Kotoko, failed to impress their fans on a day that so much was expected of them.
Goals from Ahmed Toure and Daniel Nii Adjei in the 5th and 21st minutes respectively sealed victory for the Porcupine Warriors who lost the first round encounter 1-0 at home at the Baba Yara Stadium,
By this victory, Kumasi Asante Kotoko have moved to fourth place on the league table.
In other games, Kumasi King Faisal lost one nil to visiting Liberty Professional at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
League leaders Chelsea failed to extend their points on the league table when they lost two nil to BA Stars.
Real Tamale United recorded a-one goal home victory over visiting Mighty Jets, where as Medeama Stars also settled for a-one-all draw with Kpando Hearts of Lions.
In Dormaa, Aduana Stars defeated visiting Wa all Stars one nil.
New Edubbiasi also settled for a goalless draw with Cape Coast Ebusua Dwafts.
Elsewhere, AshGold, who's game with Arsenals was rescheduled as a result of Continental assignment lost 3 nil to Etoile Du Sahel of Tunisia.
