AC Milan midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng is facing a huge fine by the Italian club after being spotted in a nightclub the night before Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Palermo.
The former European champions are expected to slap US$100,000 fine on the ‘stubborn’ Ghana international after the heavy night out.
The Germany-born player was pictured with three other AC Milan players Merkel and Emanuelson dancing wildly.
Some reports in Italian newspapers even claim it was an alcohol-fueled outing by the trio.
The defeat to Palermo left AC Milan just two points ahead of closest challengers Inter Milan with the two sides scheduled to meet next week.
All the three culprits were on the bench with Boateng being the only player who got the chance to play as he came on as a substitute.
The revelation has infuriated fans of the Italian club and even Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi who is the club owner has even commented on the ‘disgrace’.
The punishment is expected to be made public in the coming days.
He is also under fire in Ghana for missing friendlies matches against Sudan, Togo and Congo, claiming he is injured.
