Two persons involved in the production of sachet and bottled water are in police custody for failing to produce according to acceptable standards.
The Food and Drugs Board which caused the arrest says highly concentrated ions were found in the products of the Cosmos Health Outfit Company, where the two work.
The FDB has shut down the company also because it says its water was contaminated.
Acting Deputy Chief Executive in Charge of Food, John Odame Darkwa, told Joy News they are working to get the company’s products off the market.
He said consumers must be vigilant and help the Board to locate any of the company’s products that may be on the market.
