Micheal Essien has confirmed his return to the senior national team the Black Stars in June this year for the Nations Cup qualifier against Congo.
The Chelsea midfielder has not played for the Black Stars since the 2010 Nations Cup in Angola.
But he has now told close associates he will definitely be available for the game against the Congolese at the Ohene Djan Stadium in June 5 this year.
That game will come on the heels of a charity event on May 25th this year to promote peace on the continent.
Organizers for the Peace Match say the likes of John Terry, Ashley Cole and Didier Drogba have all confirmed they will be in Accra for the event.
