Black Stars head coach, Avram Grant has stated that he is uncertain of which player to replace Baba Rahman in the game against the Eagles of Mali on Saturday at the Stade Port Gentil.
The Schalke 04 defender sustained an injury in the Black Stars 1-0 win over the Cranes of Uganda in the first game of Group D of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, which effectively ruled him out for the rest of the tournament.
He was replaced by Anderlecht winger Frank Acheampong, who many believe failed to live up to billing on that side.
And coach of the team, says he is pondering about which player will adequately fill in the void left by the 22-year-old in their game against the Eagles of Mali on Saturday.
“I am still thinking about who will replace Baba. He is a wonderful player and it is sad that he got injured. We wish him a quick recovery,” Grant told Supersport.
Ghana play Mali at 4pm on Saturday.
