The Member of Parliament for New Juaben North, Hackman Owusu Agyeman, has denied media reports that he intends to retire from active politics after the 2012 general elections.
In a press release signed by the MP, he maintained: “I wish to state that my comment was not an announcement of my retirement from active Partisan Politics.”
He explained: “I was rather re-emphasising my support for the NPP, and more especially, the 2012 Parliamentary Candidate of New Juaben North Constituency, Mr. Adjei Boateng.”
Though Mr Hackman Owusu Agyeman noted that he would not be parliament come 2013, “I wish to assure the teaming party faithful of my commitment to the NPP and its agenda of recapturing power in 2012 to restore Ghana to its rightful place.”
