The Brong Ahafo regional Chairman of the NDC has cautioned delegates and supporters of the party against acts which could mar the impending congress.
Delegates will converge at Sunyani from this Friday to vote for either President Mill or Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings as leader of the party for the 2012 elections.
Supporters of the two candidates have been at each others neck with the latest incident being an alleged assassination attempt on the Ashanti Regional Chairman.
Brong Ahafo Regional Chairman Opoku Atuahene told Joy News any delegate who breaches any regulation at the congress will be dealt with.
He however said “we believe strongly that if there is anything at all, the spill over is not anticipated to be here in Sunyani or in Brong Ahafo.”
He said all the necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure that such unruly incidents are avoided during the Congress.
Mr. Atuahene indicated that the venue (the Sunyani Sports stadium) is also very secured and people are ready for this epoch-making congress.
