Voting has closed at the ongoing National Delegates Congress of the governing National Democratic Congress in Sunyani, and counting is currently underway.
Over 3,000 delegates from 10 regions have cast their ballot to elect a presidential candidate for the NDC in the 2012 general elections.
Sitting President John Mills is being challenged by former first lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings for the leadership of the party.
Vote counting is underway and from all indications it would be a landslide victory for President Atta Mills.
Information reaching Myjoyonline.com from the Congress ground indicate that votes counting has ended with provisional results showing President Atta Mills winning by a landslide.
Provisional results show that Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings polled a total of 90 votes out of the over 3,000 total votes cast.
President John Evans Atta Mills had 2,771 votes with five (5) rejected votes.
