Argentina international Sergio Aguero has excluded the possibility of returning to Atletico Madrid for the new season.
The gifted forward stated earlier in the summer that he planned on furthering his career elsewhere after spending the last five years at Atletico.
Real Madrid and Juventus have both been credited with an interest ithe player , but neither side seem willing to meet the player's €45 million release clause.
And Aguero, who is currently away on international duty with the Argentina national team, has declared he will not wear Atletico's shirt again when he comes back from Copa America.
"I spoke with the club and issued a statement, now my representatives are negotiating my exit from the club," he told ESPN. "I do not know when the deal will come but I want to know all about it when Copa America is over.
"I will not return to Atletico, that is clear. I need a breath of fresh air."
Aguero is currently leading the scoring charts at Copa America with three goals, having scored twice in Argentina's 3-0 victory over Costa Rica on Monday.
