A Presidential Advisor, Ato Ahwoi is threatening a GHS10 million in damages against the New Patriotic Party youth activist who is alleged to have defamed him.
John Kumah was arrested on Wednesday for an alleged defamatory comment but was later released on the orders of the president.
Ato Ahwoi is unimpressed with the president’s directive and has vowed to use the NPP youth activist as a scape goat.
He told Joy News’ Sammy Darko the “nonsense must stop” and to do that, John Kumah should be ready to face his lawyers in court.
Ahwoi swore that all media outlets which allowed their platforms to be used to express the defamatory comment will be sued severally.
He said for 68 years he has built a reputation for himself and would not allow “some boy” to tarnish it in a minute.
“You will be served very soon,” he threatened. "I really mean it because we have to put a stop to the nonsense that you press men are allowing people to put on the air.
“I have built my reputation for 68 years and you allow some boy to destroy me on your airwaves,” he threatened.
“All the radio stations which gave that boy the platform to say the things that he said, you will hear from my lawyer.
“...I am suing all of you, not only that boy. It is everybody along the line, including you, if you continue speaking to me I will add your name,” he warned Sammy Darko.
