A Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick helped Real Madrid beat city rivals Atletico Madrid 3-0 in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.
It took just ten minutes for Ronaldo to open the scoring with a header from six yards out, and in doing so the Portugal international became the first player to reach 50 goals in the knock-out stages.
After half-time, Ronaldo made it Champions League goal number 102 with a fine volley from the edge of the area before completing his hat-trick four minutes from time with a simple tap-in.

For the large part, it was a nervy affair at the Bernabeu, but Ronaldo's seventh Champions League hat-trick means Real will be confident of dispatching Atletico for a fourth straight season in Europe when heading to the Vicente Calderon next week.
