Asante Kotoko coach Steve Pollack has sent a signal of intent to his players at the club by stressing on the need for hard work as they seek to overturn the fortunes of the club.
Pollack was confirmed as coach of the club earlier this week but assume duties after the completion of the first round of the league.
He has a big task of turning around the club's recent poor form which has seen the record league winners go 7 games without a win.
This poor spell has seen Kotoko drop from title contention to a mid-table place but Englishman believes the players must work extra hard to return to where he feels they belong.
“Go out there and do your best” he stated. “I will be with you on Monday. But like I said, be ready for more hard work,” he stressed.
“Let’s just focus on the game on Sunday. My days will start next Monday. You will get to know me. Put your mind on the game, and for those players who are going to be in the squad, believe in yourselves when playing with your teammates” advised the coach.
Kotoko will face Tema Youth on match-day 15 of the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
