All is set for the Black Stars to battle Mexico in an international friendly scheduled for Thursday at 1:00 am.
The team will face what is referred to as Mexico team B as their first team are currently in Russia and making huge exploits at the FIFA Confederation cup.
The team arrived in Houston on Sunday and have held three successful training sessions with head coach Kwesi Appiah impressed with the attitude of his players.
The friendly against Mexico will be the first of two the senior national team will be involved in as they will also lock horns with old foes United States of America.
With a couple of players - notably Jordan, Andre Ayew, Daniel Amartey and Afriyie – opting out Kwesi Appiah named 22 players for the matches and travelled with most of the players from Accra.
Five players from the local league – Winful Cobbinah, Samuel Sarfo, Joseph Addo, Nicholas Opoku and Richard Ofori – were included in the squad.
Six players ply their trade in Major League Soccer and they joined the team on Sunday night from their respective base in the U.S, according to Joy Sports correspondent Benedict Owusu.
