Mr Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, Akatsi District Chief Executive was on Friday elected unopposed as the Volta Region representative to the National Association of Local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG).
He takes over from Mr Isaac Kodobisah, Ho Municipal Chief Executive.
Officials from the Electoral Commission declared Mr Nortsu-Kotoe duly elected after informing delegates at the Regional Conference that he was the sole nominee when nominations closed.
Mr Nortsu-Kotoe will be sworn into office during the National Delegates Conference in Tamale. He expressed gratitude to the delegates for electing him and promised to bridge the gap between the assemblies and NALAG.
