La Beach Towers, a seven¬-acre seafront gated community comprising three 17 -storey towers set within a beautifully landscaped 1.2-acre garden, has been opened for sale to luxurious home-lovers from across the country and beyond.
The plush residential properties, which are currently under construction in Accra, comprise 64 apartments in each tower, four penthouses and sky villas.
Other facilities include internal gardens for green relaxation, gas/electric cookers and waste disposal facilities, broadband internet connectivity and cable TV, 24-hour security and concierge services, 24-hour generator and back-up water supply, parking for over 300 vehicles and a lounge that opens out to balconies overlooking the ocean, the garden and the city.
Kwaku Asante-Boateng, CEO of Real Concepts, developers of the project, noted that most parts of Ghanaian beaches are underutilised and unkempt except for a few beach resorts and hotels.
"We decided to build the La Beach Towers because if you look at the beaches of Ghana, most parts are not clean and there are not many residential apartments lining the beaches in order to maintain their cleanliness.
"We therefore decided to move the growing middle-class in society to a luxurious location in the city and at the same time give them the opportunity to enjoy the sea 24 hours a day," he said.
Mr. Asante-Boateng added that the location of the properties will be conducive for businessmen and women who operate within the capital. "The La Beach Towers has bigger advantage over its competitors because it is located in the heart of the capital-La.
"It is a 10-minute-drive to the seat of government, ministries and other governmental agencies; another 10 -minute drive to the Osu Oxford Street, which is a one stop destination for business, shopping and more; and it is also a 15-minute drive to the Kotoka International Airport," he explained.
Chief Operating Officer, Ghana Home Loans, Kojo Addo-Kufour, revealed how much a prospective buyer needs to have to acquire an apartment at the La Beach Towers.
A four-bedroom apartment on the first floor costs $579,500 for the city view, while an ocean view on the 17th floor costs $634,400.
The initial booking amount is 25% of the price. It is later followed by 15 equal monthly payments of 4% and a final payment of 15% on completion and handover of keys.
Mr. Asante-Boateng added that the Ghana Homes Loans is willing to give purchasers long¬term financing for the acquisition of the homes for up to 20 years.
The La Beach Towers, which is being constructed by M. Barbisotti & Sons Ltd, was started in October, 2011 and the first tower is set to be completed and fully furnished in August, 2013.
