A popular radio commentator and member of the New Patriotic Party, Frank Appiah also known as Appiah Stadium has described Former President Rawlings as a great politician who is feared by every Ghanaian.
To him even Former President Kufour and Nana Akuffo-Addo are afraid of Rawlings due to his courageous posture.
According to him, the first time he met Former President Rawlings, he nearly eased on himself because he is a great man by all standards.
“Anybody who says he is not afraid of Jerry Rawlings is a liar even Kufour and Nana Addo cannot deny that” he said.
Speaking on Asempa Fm’s current affairs programme Ekosii-Sen on Friday, he expressed worry at the way Former President Rawlings is being treated in the party adding that “if the NDC needs a second term then they should treat him special or else, they have lost in advance”.
He said if the NDC does not give the Former President, the respect he deserves, they will lose the 2012 elections with ease.
“Look at the way Asiedu Nketia is describing him as a barking dog whiles other ministers of state are despising him. If not for Rawlings, NDC wouldn’t have won the 2008 elections so they should be careful”.
The popular radio commentator took a swipe at the chairman and Flagbearer of the NPP for using “Akans” as symbols of war recalling Nana Addo’s “yen Akanfuor” and Jake’s “violence can break up in Ghana because Akans are dominant”
He quizzed “when the NPP was in power, did they call any Akan to come for job before calling on them to fight for someone’s Presidency”.
“When NPP and NDC were in power, I begged them for food so why can I allow myself to be used by them, no way?
He admonished NPP’s flagbearer that if he wants to be president, he should beware of those surrounding him.
Appiah stadium charged the two main political parties in the country, NPP and NDC to cede power if they lose the 2012 election.
"Look the two should give us peace after 2012 because they didn’t come to solve our problems but themselves”.
When asked which political party, he will vote for, he said “I do not belong to any political party so I cannot tell now because they are the same”.
He noted that though he had NPP party card, however he denounced it because the party neglected him when some miscreants nearly claimed his life in Kumasi.
He stressed that “I will vote for Mills if he repairs the Accra-Kumasi road because it is part of his mandate to do but if he does not, I will also not vote for him”.
The Kumasi-based radio commentator hinted that “if I do not vote for Mills, I will spoil my vote” adding that Nana Addo is not an option.
He boisterously described politicians in Ghana as selfish people who should be despised by all.
