The country’s premium satellite television platform, Multi-TV, a business unit of the Multimedia Group Limited, has joined forces with SES, a world-leading satellite operator based in South Africa to provide cutting-edge installer training programme to its digi-box installers, dealers and distributors.
The training programme -Elevate- is an SES Africa installer training quality accreditation programme aimed at assisting Multi-TV to achieve its objective of establishing an installer base to support the station’s operational growth and service and quality requirements.
This partnership was made known during a Multi-TV, distributors and dealer conference at the Osu Presby Hall in Accra Friday to address challenges facing the distribution process and also get feedback from dealers.
The conference was attended by dealers from the Greater Accra, Eastern and Volta regions and it had distributors, Henry Laryea of Strong Technologies and Nana Osei Brown of Syndicated Capital in attendance.
Mr Kyle Davies a consultant for SES Satellite in South Africa and the acting Chief Operating Officer (COO) OF Multi-TV, Ato Afful were also in attendance.
SES since its inception some 25 years ago has been a leader in providing reliable and secure satellite communications solutions to broadcast, telecom, corporate and government customers worldwide including Multi-TV.
The training, the first of its kind in West Africa, will provide up to date skills in installation which will in turn give installers additional installation contracts and also provide quality service to clients.
Mr Kyle Davies told Myjoyonline.com in an interview that, “Elevate will give the installer the opportunity to generate more income as well as further develop their skills and give them cutting edge technologies and improve their overall quality of installation.”
The programme which will be launched by the end of November, according to Kyles Davis, “will benefit not just only Multi-TV but the installer to grow and to be educated and open up the path for them for new ventures.”
