Pressure group, Alliance for Accountable Governance, will later today kick-start a campaign against what it says is the poor handling of the biometric voters’ registration process by the electoral commission.
AFAG will collect signatures across the country with the aim of bringing pressure to bear on the EC to consider concerns being raised about the process.
It is starting with a news conference later in the day to draw public attention to the concerns.
The pro-opposition group claims it has unearthed shocking details about what could be corruption in the selection of companies to undertake the biometric voters’ registration.
AFAG Director in charge of Research and Development, Davis Opoku Ansah told Joy News all Ghanaians must be interested in the process being adopted by the EC in the registration process.
He said there were questions about the company contracted by the EC to procure materials for the registration process which must be answered.
