Central Regional Communications Director of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has stated that despite the difficulties the nation is currently encountering, he is sure that God will bless Ghana through President John Evans Atta Mills. This, he said, is possible because the President had immersed the nation under the authority of God, trusting and seeking the guidance of the Almighty to help his administration to thrive.Contributing to discussions on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Tuesday, Allotey Jacobs said he had no doubts that tremendous blessings would be showered on Ghana as a result of President Mills’ Godly reign. He was commenting on a publication by the Al-Hajj newspaper that a renowned spiritualist in Kumasi, Mallam Sheik Musa, had prophesied that opposition leader Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had not been spiritually destined to lead the nation and thus would lose his bid to be president in 2012.Allotey claimed that President Mills had placed God first in whatever he had done and therefore was better placed to be chosen again to lead the nation.“Ghana will be blessed if you have a leader who has taken the role of being a shepherd to guide the flock of God…” Allotey maintained, asking Ghanaians to pray for Mills to succeed.
