Constituency executives who graced the presidential campaign launch of Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom have endorsed him as the best candidate to lead the Convention People’s Party (CPP) for victory in 2012 elections.
The campaign launched under the theme ‘Ghana Needs Change’, had Regional Chairmen from all the Ten (10) regions and national executives of the party graced the occasion in Accra on Wednesday.
Dr. Nduom led the party in 2008 elections, but performed abysmally.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem after the launch, Constituency Chairmen for Juaboso and Amenfi Central all in the Western Region noted that the region is endowed with natural resources, yet people in the region live in abject poverty.
The Executives added that region can boast of natural resources like Gold, Cocoa, Bauxite and Manganese, lack basic social amenities like good roads, potable drinking water and electricity.
Osafo Twumasi from the Juaboso Constituency said the amount of money collected on the Tema motorway can be used to develop the country, but governments after governments have failed to tap this goldmine in developing the nation.
He maintained that it is only the CPP led by Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom that can improve the lives of Ghanaians.
The Brong Ahafo Regional Organizer Emmanuel Oduro said Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom is the only president who can fix the virtually collapsed economy of Ghana.
An executive member from the Volta region, Margaret Adahvo asked Ghanaians to rally behind the CPP for a total victory in 2012 election.
She asserted that nepotism and favouritism have become the order of the day in awarding contracts which, to her, does not augur well for the country.
She said Dr. Nduom can perform better than the NDC and the NPP, because “these parties have failed in developing the country”.
