The MP for Amenfi Central, George Arthur says leadership of the Computerised Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) should be invited by the Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee, to account for their stewardship. Mr. George Arthur claimed that there have been flaws in the process where female students are often posted to boys’ schools while the officers are not held responsible. He described the development as a clear indication that some people are not doing the right thing and should be held responsible. Some Junior High School graduates, whose Basic Education Certificate Examination results were released last August, are yet to find a school of their choice to attend. This is due to the delay by the CSSPS in releasing the full list of the selection process. But Mr. George Arthur said on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on Monday that charges for accessing the results should be discarded. However, the Director for the Computerised Schools Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), Samuel Oppong, has admitted to facing some technical challenges in the institution's operations. Meanwhile, the District Education Director at Asunafo North in the Brong Ahafo Region, Hayford Osei, said many of the students from his area are unable to check their examination results online because access to the internet is not common in the district.
