The Member of Parliament for Fanteakwa, Amankwah Asiamah has described as annoying public outcry over the death of the former Libyan leader, Muamar Gaddafi who was killed last Thursday.Speaking on Multi TV’s BADWAM program, Mr. Asiamah retorted “Gaddafi is dead and so what? Considering all the people he killed under his regime, and all the atrocities he committed, we shouldn’t even be discussing his death. The world should rejoice rather than mourn his death”.According to him, the former leader deserved his death and even more.He said the NPP is taking a cue from the Libyan situation and will fight every oppressor’s rule in 2012.“That is why the NPP is calling for the ‘all die be die’ approach in 2012. It is annoying to watch people cheat you of your right. Nobody likes to be cheated, and so we will watch critically”.He noted that, Gaddafi’s demise will serve as an example to other leaders who are unwilling to leave power after their reign. But the Member of Parliament for Tain, Ahmed Ibrahim, who was also on the show, critique former President Rawlings’s comments about the late Libyan President describing his comments as unfounded since to him, both Ex-President Rawlings and Gaddafi are the same.“After Rawlings’ 19-year rule, he wanted his wife to come and continue. Is it not the same as what Gaddafi did, holding on to power for years and grooming his son to take over from him? It is therefore not surprising for Rawlings not to condemn Gaddafi’s rule” he said.
