The Managing Editor of the Al-hajj newspaper, Alhaji Iddrisu Bature is admonishing Former President Rawlings to be watchful of the NPP lest he is deceived.
According to him the Former President Rawlings now considers the opposition NPP as his adopted friends.
This admonishment came after former President Rawlings statement at the University of Ghana, Legon that the NDC is treating him badly with the opposition party, NPP, coming to his defense.
Former president Rawlings expressed dismay at his neglect by party functionaries and attacks on him by some members of government
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii-Sen Tuesday, Alhaji Bature noted that the worst NDC treatment will be better than a good NPP treatment, so he should be mindful of drawing closer to the opposition.
“Look at the NPP, they even went the extra mile to [plan to] assassinate you but the NDC defended [you] and today you are turning your back [on] them. It is not fair Rawlings” he asserted.
He advised the former president to help the NDC government to progress or sit quietly “because the NPP can never be your friends”.
He said what the NPP is aimed at doing is to make the feud between the former president and President Mills deepen which will be their advantage.
“Today Sir John and the NPP are defending Rawlings after wanting him dead during their regime; I wonder [whether] anybody will take that serious”.
He asked the former president to be a little grateful to the NDC government because he is not being mistreated like the erstwhile NPP government.
