September polls by Global Market Researchers, Synovate, have once again placed opposition leader Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ahead of president John Mills.
The poll results say if elections were held today, the New Patriotic Party flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo would obtain 48 per cent of total votes cast with president Mills trailing him with 41 per cent.
With a sample size of 1,723 registered voters selected randomly from across the country, Synovate found that if elections were held on any day in September or early October, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom would secure five precent of votes cast with the PNC's veteran presidential candidate Dr Edward Mahama obtaining a paltry one percent.
Two per cent of the respondents preferred not to disclose who they would vote for if elections were held today while some three per cent either chose not to answer or said they did not know who they would vote for.
Despite beating president Mills by seven percentage points, Nana Addo failed to make the needed 50 per cent plus one vote to avoid another run-off.
