A businessman is challenging the appointment of the new Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation.
Samuel Osei a resident of Tema said the appointment of Berifi Appenteng is illegal.
He has therefore sued the NMC and the new Director General over what he says is a secret appointment.
In an interview with Joy News’ Sammy Darko, Mr Osei said the NMC failed to advertise the position for competition.
He argued there is conflict of interest alleging that Berefi Appenteng was part of the panel that vetted Mr. Ampem Darko former DG of the State broadcaster.
He is seeking an Accra High Court to revoke the appointment to allow for fair competition.
The National Media Commission and the new director general although have received the writ of sermon have declined to comment.
