Former Chairman of the Confiscated Vehicles Committee (CVC) Mr. Carl Wilson and the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC, Ade Coka were at each other’s throat for well over 15 minutes over the disqualification of the former in the party's forthcoming primaries.The Greater Accra Regional Vetting Committee of the NDC was reported to have disqualified four aspirants, including Mr. Carl Wilson, from contesting the forth coming primaries.During a telephone interview on Multi TV’s BADWAM, Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Ade Coka confirmed the news, adding that the action was necessitated by misconduct on the parts of aspirants.According to Mr. Coka, after vetting 36 of the aspirants, four were disqualified.They are Mr Carl Wilson, vying for the Weija Constituency slot, Mr Delali Emmanuel Brempong in the Ayawaso West Wuogon, Augustine Ken Eshun and Andrew Okaikoi, both in the Okaikoi North constituency.Mr Coka indicated that the four have dented reputations which will affect the party’s chances of winning the 2012 elections, adding that the decision is in the supreme interest of the party.Mr Carl Wilson has however denied any knowledge of his disqualification.He challenged the news of his disqualification adding that it’s the sole decision of Mr. Ade Coka, not the entire vetting committee.He noted that, the committee has no basis to disqualify him. "As far as I know, I am not disqualified," he insistedThe two - Mr. Coka and Mr Carl Wilson - who were both speaking on BADWAM via telephone spent over 15 minutes challenging and defending the ruling of the vetting committee."You have no basis to disqualify me, I answered all my questions correctly at the vetting," Mr. Carl Wilson averred."You don’t tell us how to do our job, the fact that you answered your vetting questions correctly does not qualify you," Mr. Ade Coka replied.Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress, Mr. Kofi Adams who was on the show expressed disappointment at the level of the internal strife within the NDC."I am highly disappointed and I will say that the situation will only get worse."Mr Adams said that he saw it coming considering the way party members were disrespecting themselves.According to Mr. Adams, the situation has degenerated into the present level because party executives are not coordinating well enough to resolve the uprising.Mr Kofi Adams expressed worry at the situation, citing Boakye Gyan’s qualification as a member of the NDC as a breach to peace within the party.Though the NDC has set November 19 and 26 for its primaries to select aspirants for orphan constituencies in the northern and southern sectors, Mr Carl Wilson together with other 3 colleagues will not be part.
