The controversy over NPP’s Parliamentary candidate for the Okaikoi South constituency in the Greater Accra region appears unresolved. Three polling station chairmen Mark Osapa Yawson, Joseph Amasa Ashie and John Hayford Woode have sued the party for endorsing Ahmed Arthur as the party’s Parliamentary candidate. The three, among other things, are challenging the information Mr. Arthur provided about his education. Those involved in the case are said to be supporters of Vicky Bright who lost to Ahmed Arthur in the April 30 primaries. One of them, Alex Ofori has dissociated Ms. Bright from the action. The NPP chairman Jake Obetsebi Lamptey in a reaction told Joy News the legal team will be representing the party and the aspiring MP. He said the party is law abiding and will make an appearance in court when the case is called.
