Former president Jerry Rawlings has said that the indiscipline in the country has reached a crescendo. He believes the country is stagnating as a result of such unruliness.
Mr. Rawlings expressed the views when former Black Stars player, Samuel Osei-Kuffour went to him to formally invite him to his ceremonial match in Kumasi next week.
Joy News’ Sammy Darko reports that the former president is, for instance, worried about the moral decadence in workplaces, citing an example of a young lady who complained to him (Rawlings) about the incessant demands for sexual favours in return for a job.
Mr Rawlings is reported to have referred to the recent controversy over drugs, which initially tested positive for cocaine but later tested negative (and mysteriously became a baking powder), as a worrying development.
He however commended Sammy Kuffour for the level of discipline he has shown throughout his professional career as a footballer, stressing that the country is lacking such discipline in its body polity.
