Prospective travelers to the United States have accused the US Embassy in Accra of unjustifiably holding onto their visa fees. The applicants say there are too many problems with the current online process for applying for visas which the embassy has failed to address. The process requires applicants to first pay for their visa fees after which they get a code that allows them to book a visa interview at the Embassy’s website.Several applicants who spoke to Joy News however, say they are unable to get dates favorable for their travel deadlines and want the Embassy to tell them their fate. The US Embassy says it will investigate the complaints and respond in due course.
