Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom’s Progressive People’s Party (PPP) is due to go to its maiden National Congress at the end of February this year to elect national executives and a flagbearer for this year's general elections.
The founder, Dr. Nduom, told Citi FM various individuals have expressed interest to contest on the party’s ticket as parliamentary candidates.
He said members of the party were not political novices and expressed confidence they will make a good showing in the general elections.
Dr. Nduom said, “we are planning on the end of February when we would have our big national convention.
“This convention would be attended by our people from all over the country, all the 230 constituencies and then those who by then would have been made parliamentary candidates would be shown to Ghanaians that the alternative has arrived. ”
The former KEEA MP added: “Everything that we need to do for 2012 would happen at this national convention. Many of us who are part of all of this are not new to politics.”
