Members of the Ghana Football Association's Extra-Ordinary Congress today by a majority decision voted to increase the number of clubs from eight (8) to Nine (9) in Zone 3A of the Division One League.
Ninety-five percent of members, representing 54 approved the proposal from the Executive Committee to increase the number of clubs in 3A.
Three abstained after the President of the GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi asked delegates to vote on the matter following extensive deliberations.
By the decision, the total number of clubs in the Division One League now stands at 49 for the up-coming season.
The composition of Zone 3A for the up-coming season would be made up of: Amidaus Profs, D'international, Great Olympics, Horebians, Danbort, Inter-Allies, Istanbul FC, Nania FC and St. Mirren.
