Former President John Mahama has mocked the media treatment of the leaked Kwesi Botchwey report that has made startling revelations about the cause of NDC’s loss at the 2016 polls.
“It appears ‘KB report’ has been adopted by some media as the new handbook for any challenge facing GH.”
He adds later: “In the event of crisis, open any page and quote. Lol”.
The report, compiled by a 13-member committee chaired by NDC Prof. Kwesi Botchwey, among other things, reproduced claims by a group of pro-NDC media practitioners that Dr. Boamah and former Presidential staffer, Stan Dogbe, were partly responsible for the then incumbent party's defeat in the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections.
Dr Boamah has denied the revelations.

The report, intercepted by Joy News also notes that the NDC lost abysmally to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) because many NDC polling agents were unable to monitor the 2016 election results because of the party’s failure to effectively coordinate logistics on Election Day.

The Upper West Region was one of the worst affected areas of the problem as polling agents were left to starve until about 4pm on Election Day.
The NPP at some point fed NDC agents who had been left to starve, the report said.
The report reveals that the poor logistical organisation seriously affected the NDC in the Upper West and Upper East regions.
